- Notes
- Group portrait of Kiowa and Caddo Indian prisoners of war being held at Fort Marion, Saint Augustine, Florida. Identified individuals include Kiowa chiefs Guipago (front row at center wearing black vest), So-gau-se (front row at left of Guipago) and Mayetin (seated furthest right on cannon). A number of individuals wear bone hairpipe breastplates and hold bows and arrows. The sole Caddo prisoner of war held at Fort Marion during this time was Huh-nah-nee (also known as Choctaw).
