- Group portrait of Spotted Tail with unidentified wife and daughter Dove Eye at Spotted Tail Agency, Dakota Territory. Spotted Tail wears wool trade blanket while his wife (at center) and Dove Eye (at right; also known as Sky) wear Navajo chief's blankets. Dove Eye also wears cross necklace, dentalium shell necklace, and dress trimmed with elk teeth. Original negative likely produced around 1878.
