The Municipal code and the Provincial government act, being Act no. 82, entitled "A general act for the organization of municipal governments in the Philippine islands", and Act no. 83, entitled "A general act for the organization of provincial governments in the Philippine islands" as amended by the acts of the Philippine commission down to and including May 31, 1905, revised and codified by the Committee on revision and codification appointed by the governor-general. THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT ACT. 81 with the same shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined or imprisoned, or both, in the discretion of the municipal president, in accordance with the regulations to be provided by the board: Provided, however, That the penalty Penalty. shall not exceed in any case ten dollars' fine or ten days' imprisonment, or both. SEC. 6. The locust board is hereby authorized to make further exemption of such provincial and municipal officers as the public interests may require.-Act 834, August 17, 1903.
