Toyo Keizai Shinposha Integrated Publisher of Economic Journal II \ c.,E1 The Toyo Keizai Shinposha is a highly reputable publishing company backed by the long tradition and experience for past 70 years since the founding of The Toyo Keizai. the oldest economic weekly in Japan. The Company today publishes several regualr periodicals as well as many books mostly on economic problems. Its contribution to Japanese economy has been widely known among all competent circles concerned. The Toyo Keizai Shinposha is an integrated publisher of many leading economic periodicals including Toyo Keizai (a weekly), Business ( a monthly), Oru Toshi (a monthly), Quarterly Report of Companies, Statistics Monthly, and The Oriental Economist (an English monthly). These periodicals have wide readership of their own based on their respectively exclusive articles of wide varieties. Our publications are read not only in Japan alone but also in may other countries of the world. In view of the deplorable lack of accurate knowledge about Japanese economy among foreigners, the Company in 1934 founded The Oriental Economist, an English monthly devoted to the studies and analyses of Japanese economy. The Oriental Economist today is read in more than 60 countries, and its articles have been frequently quoted in leading foreign journals. The Oriental Economist also publishes two annual reports. They are: The Japan Economic Yearbook and The Japan Company Directory. The Japan Economic Yearbook, in publication since 1954, is a complete digest of Japan's economic transitions in the preceding year. It covers all major phases of Japanese economy and industry such as public finance, production, prices, foreign trade, agriculture, transportation and labor. The Japan Company Directory is an authentic collection of the records of about 800 Japanese corporations with special reference to their past showings, present results and future potentials.
