of P18,096,091, represented transactions within the cities of Quezon,
Pasay, and Caloocan and the suburban towns of Makati, MalabonNavotas, Mandaluyong, Parafnaque, and San Juan.
Real estate mortgages regi tered during the month in the Greater
Manila area numbered 775, with a total value of P33,247,338, as compared with 878, with a total value of P46,530,789, registered during
the preceding month of December.
Of the January mortgage transactions, 199, with a total value of
P8,248,589, represented deals within Manila proper, while 576, with
a total value of P24 998,749, were transacticns within the cities of
Quezon, Pasay, and Caloocan and the suburban towns of Makati,
