dents of provincial and municipal boards of health when assigned
in accordance with the provisions of section one of this Act, for
the fiscal year nineteen hundred and three, is hereby authorized
out of funds appropriated in Act Numbered Five hundred and
ninety-five under the heading "Suppression and extermination of
epidemic diseases and pests, Board of Health for the Philippine
Islands, nineteen hundred and fhree."-Act 677, March 12, 1903.
SEc. 4. * * * The president * * * of a municipal board
of health may be required to render, without charge, to any officer
or enlisted man of the Philippines Constabulary, or to a provincial
prisoner, such medical service as may be needed in any case, upon
notice by the officer in immediate command of such Constabulary
officer or enlisted man or by the governor of the province, as the
case may be, of the necessity for such service; or to any indigent
person when directed to render such service by the provincial
governor or by a municipal president, as the case may be: Provided, That in no case shall the president of * * * a municipal board of health be paid for medical services rendered to any
person authorized by law to receive medical attendance at the
expense of the Insular Government or at the expense of a province.-Act 985, November 7, 1903.
