NOTE.-This age-grade table was prepared in the Academic Division in answer to a request from the Director of the Survey. The data have been subjected to one partial check. Each of the 32,000 pupils teste# by the Commission gave his age. The median ages for the respective school grades correspond very closely with those given in this table. There still is considerable uncertainty about the ages of individual children.
