- Kapuziner Kloster–This Franciscan monastery was founded in Salzburg in 1594. It is located in one of Salzburg’s most pictur-esque spots and has been a place of pilgrimage for 300 years. The building dates from the 17th century and is plain without major decorations. This is a view of the Cloister across their flower and vegetable garden, an important component of Franciscan monasteries.
