- As Long as I Don't Have to Get Up Before 11:00
- Artist
- Mark Kostabi
- Physical Description
- Ink drawing on paper. Black wash ground, with two figures drawn in opaque black ink. A comic figure who is shirtless and in boxers, with his beer belly hanging out, and whose pointy rimmed hat is reminiscent of the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, dances at the center of an ominous scene. His right leg has been kicked through a television set that he holds with his right hand. Scissors fall from his left hand towards what looks like a two-slot toaster. A black, horned beast lurks in the background, holding a phone overhead that has two earpieces, but no cradle. The scene is possibly set in a graveyard; the edifice silhouetting behind the scarecrow figure is shaped like a headstone.

The wall, pitcher, parts of the woman’s head and shoulder covering and bodice, and cash register have been modeled in stylized “half tone” of zigzag separating white and black; shadows take the form of dense curlicues. The tablecloth bears splotches of black ink that were possibly made by blowing air on wet ink through a straw. The map has been filled in with ink drips and splatters.

- Artist
- Yinka Shonibare
- Physical Description
- Dollhouse replica of a two-storey Victorian-style flat in the East End of London. The façade is red brick with white molding. The upper storey has two tall windows that face onto the street; the door into the flat is on the left, and to the right of it is a large bay window. The split-level interior holds a bedroom and parlor, both of which are decorated with wallpaper and furnishings, including cabinets, chairs, tables, fireplaces, and a canopy bed.
