A monumentally stylized head of a woman. Her head is tilted slighty to the viewer's right. Her eyes, nose, and lips are large and almost mask-like. She appears to be wearing a hat of a modern style. Shading is executed with powerful parallel lines and cross-hatching. The year of the work's execution, 1916, appears in the lower right.

Physical Description
Gilt and lacquered wooden platform for ten-piece altar set. The platform is carved along the edges in floral and leaf patterns coated with gold gilt are larger in size and less stylized than those found on the set it spports. Located between upper and lower carved floral registers is a band decorated with a repeating geometrical rectangular pattern, covered also with gold gilt. The red wood surface of the long, short platform is coated in lacquer.

An extremely large sundial circle top, separated into triangular sections with eyes and a mouth carved out. The colors are in blue, red, white and black. There is a narrow center to represent two black arms and a chin. The triangluar colored pattern is continued onto the bottom with a geometric pattern.

Physical Description
The figure is standing on a lotus-shaped pedestal; the hair is tied as a knot on top of the head; a crown is also on the top. The face has two elongated ears, round eyeblows, eyes looking downward; the lips are shut; sloping sholders are wrapped with thin robe, which hung toward the knees. Right hand, showing a palm, is raised to the chest while the left hand is by the lower abdomen, as if holding something. The three wrinkles can be seen on the neck. All are made of wood.
