- Title
- Blue-and-white storage jar
- Artist
- Kiln Unknown, Vietnam
- Physical Description
- A small, flat-bottomed stoneware jar, with nearly straight sides flaring out to shoulders only slightly broader than the base, and narrowing to a short neck with an everted rim. The decoration consists of broad horizontal bands of cobalt blue pigment at the base, on the shoulder, and at the neck. The overall glaze, normally a whitish color, is a light brown here, possibly because of less than ideal conditions in the kiln.

- Buddha, standing, in vitarka mudra
- Artist
- Artist Unknown, China
- Physical Description
- A small, solid gilt bronze image of the Budddha, shown standing in a slighly swayback pose with both right and left hands in vitarka mudra, the gesture ot teaching. His robe is draped over both shoulders and falls in large, symmentrical V-shaped folds in shallow relief over his torso. His head is small, with the canonical snail-shell curls suggested by tiny knobs of bronze. He has full cheeks, a well-defined mouth, and incised slits for his eyes. There are two incised rings at his neck (instead of the canonical three). He stands on a pedestal of upward, double-petal lotus petals, raised on a hollow base. Some turquoise patina is visible on tthe base and head.

- Jar with two lug handles at neck
- Artist
- Kiln Unknown, Vietnam
- Physical Description
- A very small jar with a globular body, raised on a continuous foot with a wide mouth with a slighly rolled rim. There are two small lug handles right at the rim of the mouth. The clay is a warm red, suggesting that the jar is of earthenware rather than stoneware, with a white glaze that covers all but the lower part of the jar.

- Blue-and-white miniature jar with stylized floral design
- Artist
- Kiln Unknown, Vietnam
- Physical Description
- A small, stoneware jar of squat proportions, with a narrow, upright neck and a short, cylindricrical foot. The jar is decorated with loosely drawn floral patterns in cobalt blue underneath an overalll whitish glaze.
- This jar makes an interesting contrast to 2002/2.18, which has a very similar design in a crisp, dark blue; the faded, smudged blue here may be a result of less than ideal conditions in the kiln.
