A goblet (the cup of Christ) is inked in at the foot of the cross. Signed by the artist, b.r., followed by "VI - 58."

The cup rests on a pedestal in the design of an inverted lotus flower, which rises from the dish-like base of the stand, mounted on a fluted foot.
