- Physical Description
- "Bizarre" pattern, rich gold-colored satin ground with damask-type foliate self-pattern. Brocaded pattern repeated twice per width; consitsts of narrow unfurled scroll of silver metallic thread, capped by silver feathery leaf. Stylized tendrils of silver and flowers entwine abouto scroll-like forms; flowers of pink and blue silk thread and leaves and stems are of green silk thread. Between scroll-like pattern are larger-scale conrucopia or trumpet-like forms out of wich sprout bell-shaped flowers; predominant thread is silver, with use of pink, blue and green silk threads. Complete repeat is 23", of to units of 11 1/2" each.
