To illustrate the present status of the Association in comparison
with the record of previous years, the annexed statement is submitted:

Since the last annual meeting the resolution to dispose of the
JOURNAL of the Association to a number of members of the organization has been carried into effect, and the enterprise gives promise
of success. This relieves the Association of a responsibility, and
permits of the JOURNAL taking up a wider field than was deemed
expedient when the expense of issuing the JOURNAL was borne
by the membership in general. It, however, in no way detracts
from the JOURNAL as representing the Association, and each menber not in arrears is entitled to and receives copies as heretofore.
The arrearage has always been an annoyance to the management. It is difficult to collect the small sum which forms the
annnal due, and in view of the fact that these matters are often
overlooked by members the policy has been to treat delin
