Goodman Mead had charge of the meeting-house in Dorchester, attended to the bell-ringing, cleaning, &c.; and there not being sufficient cash in the treasury to pay him the three pounds due for that service the present year, Mr. Patten agreed to pay him twenty-six shillings and eight pence, and Ens.
