710 The United States vs. Sutter. by certify that the above and foregoing is a full, true, aad correct copy of the original papers, including the judgment, as entered in the aforesaid entitled cause, as the same now remains of record and on file in the office of the clerk of said court. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the SEAL. I seal of our said court, at the city of Marysville, in said county, this eighth day of June, A. D. 1855. 881 W. W. This indenture, made the twenty-fourth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five, between Edward Taylor, of the city of San Francisco and State of California, of the first part, and Edwards Woodruff and John Q. Packard, of the city of Marysville, county of Yuba and State aforesaid, of the second part. 882 Whereas the said party of the first part did, on the eighth day of June, A. D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five, recover in the district court of the tenth judicial district in and for Yuba county a judgment against John A. Sutter and Anna Sutter, his wife, for the sum of twelve thousand two hundred and seventyeight dollars and twenty-five cents, debt, interest, and costs, which said sum of money was adjudged to be due upon a certain indenture of mortgage executed and delivered by the said John A. Sutter and Anna Sutter, his wife, on the 19th day of November, A. D. eighteen hundred and fifty-two, to the said party of the first part, of certain premises situated in Sutter county, hereinafter to be described; and whereas, on the said eighth day of June, A. D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five, the said court did decree in said suit the sale of said mortgaged premises, which said decree is as follows, to wit: "It is ordered, adjudged, and decreed that the mortgaged premises described in said complaint, namely: all that certain 883 parcel or tract of land situated in Sutter county, in the State of California, which is bounded and described as follows, viz: commencing on the west bank of Feather river, at a point on said bank one mile above the Hock Farm House; thence down and along the west bank of said river for three miles; thence back of said river, in a westerly direction, in a straight line, four miles; thence up and in a line parallel with the river three miles; thence easterly, and in a line parallel with the lower line, four miles, to the place of beginning, said tract being three miles front on Feather river by four miles deep, and containing twelve square miles, being the property commonly known as the Hock Farm, and included in the Alvarado grant to John A. Sutter, and conveyed in the month of July, A. D. 1850, to H. E. Robinson, E. F. Gillespie, John S. Fowler, and John McDougal, and in the same month by them conveyed to Anna Sutter,
