APPENDIX D. NOTE UPON THE GEOLOGICAL REPORT. The geological collection made by Captain Pope has been placed in the hands of Mr. Wm. P. Blake for description and a report in detail, which is not now completed, but will appear in a supplementary volume. The preliminary report by Mr. Jules Marcou, upon the collection, published as Chapter XIII in the preliminary report in octavo, is therefore omitted in this place.
