ENZENROTH

C. H. Enzenroth, '10. Played baseball at Michigan in I908, I909, and
I9IO, being captain the last year. For
three years after leaving Michigan he
played semi-professional ball in Chicago, and in I914 he caught for the
St. Louis Americans, and later in the
year for the Kansas City Federal
league team, where he also played in
I915. Enzenroth was freshman baseball coach in 1920.
W. H. Heston, '04L. Heston was
the football wonder of his day, and
has been placed upon Camp's Alltime All-American team at half back.
As captain of the I904 Varsity football eleven he closed his fourth year
as a member of an undefeated Michigan
team, to which he had contributed a
major part because of his remarkable
playing.
Leslie Carroll, '17. The best miler
that Michigan has produced. Captain of the team in I917. In the indoor meets that year Carroll showed
great ability, his best race being against
Ray, I.A.C. miler when he took second
in a 4:20 2-5 race. In the previous
year he was one of the best Michigan
runners in the Eastern meet. Carroll
was also a cross-country runner of
merit. In the I916 Intercollegiate
race he was just defeated by Overton,
the Yale star, who later set a world's
mark in the Iooo yard run.
George H. Sisler, '15E. Michigan's
most noted contribution to baseball.
Was a member of the Varsity baseball
team for three years, I913,I914, and
captain in I9I5. Sisler,who is the best
pitcher that Michigan has ever had,
led the team in hitting all three years,
and played in the outfield, when not
on the mound. He joined the St. Louis
Browns in I915 and has been there
since, and is now the best all-around
player in organized baseball, leading
both major leagues in batting, with a
total of.407 in I920.
