Has a high national rating, and is y the best player that has ever represented the Maize and Blue. * i 1920 Varsity Tennis Season Tennis during the 1920 season enjoyed the most successful year that the game has had at Michigan since it was first recognized as a varsity sport some twenty years ago. The matches for the year not only exceeded in number all those of previous years but were also with the strongest college teams in this part of the country. Incidentally Wesbrook's rating for the year was 28th,which was many places above the rating of the next nearest college player. Wesbrook also won the Western Conference singles championship for the second time as well as having shown up to advantage during the summer against the country's best amateurs. While it is true that the 1920 season was the best in every way up to that time, there is every reason to believe that the I92I season will exceed it. The schedule for the year is even larger than that of last. It not only includes the best Conference teams, namely Chicago, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Illinois, and Northwestern, Three Hundred Forty-one ii '.. -:" -
