It is called.Priesepe, or tile.Bee/die. ]Ef:o (the 1JTi) is a "very largc constellation, and has many iltterestiinr, mllembers. /e'gults (..L/eon2dis) is a star of thle first malnalgitude, i\r]llnel lies very nar1 tfle ecliptic, and is muclh LuCed in astronomical observations. N'tortll of'lRegulus lies a seMicircle of five )riglt sttars, arranged in the form of a sick'le, of whlich IRegtulus is the handle, and extending over tlhe shoulder and neck of the lI-.ion'.*..JDenebola,, a conlspiciuous star in tlhe, iotl's tail, lies 25~ cast of Regulus. Twenty briglt starls in all hIelp to compose tihis beautiful constellation. It rangces frioml west to east along the Zodiac, over more than.4:0 of longitudle, all parts of the figure excepting tlhe feet lying north of tIie ccliptic. VIRltO (thie VYJIr(1N) extends aloiig the Zodiac eastward fiom tlhe I,ion, covering an equally wtide region of the heaAvens, altllougt; less distingistilised by brilliant stars. S)icae., hlowever., is a star of thel first magnitude, and lies a little east of thel vera:tl equinox. VitrIniatrix, in tile arm'l of Virgo,:18~ east of D)cllebola, and 23~ north of Spica, is easily found, and directly soutll of l)enebola 13~, is 13 Virginlis; whllile four other colspiictous stars, inl tlhe form of a trapezium, between this and Vilndelinatrix, lie in the wing anld slhoulders of the figure. T'heo feet are near thle ]Balance. IZAli (thle IiAlANxC:) is composed of a few scattered merm — bers, situated betweenl tIe feet of Virgo and the hlead n of Scor-. )1io, )but ltas no very diStinctive, marki'.
