Pharmaceutical directory of all the crude drugs now in general use; their etymology and names in alphabetical order.

PREFACE. IN presenting this book to Druggists, Physicians and an intelligent public in general, it is my ardent desire, that it will be the means of overcoming a long felt necessity. It is the result of the research of many years, in as much as it was my anxious intention to make my work as full and comprehensive as possible. I have collected the scientific names of all the crude drugs now in general use, in the various languages named in the title-page, and have also given the most popular local names of the drugs. The whole is arranged in alphabetical order, which will not only save time, but will facilitate the search for What is wanted on any occasion. JOHN IRUDOLPHY. New Yorlk, itarch) 1872.
