T hey procured candles, and began at once their explorations, and soon found that California had another remarkable wonder-a very li,t,ge and beautiful cave, both curious interesti'ig. On our first entrance, we descended about fifteen feet gradually to the centre of a roomn which is -,,oe hundred by thirty feet. At the niorth end there is the most magnificent pulpit, in thl)e Fpiscopal Church style, that man has ever seen. It seems that it is, and should be, called the "' H(i'lv of Hl()lies.'
