them to enter. T hey procured candles, and began at once their explorations, and soon found that
California had another remarkable wonder-a very
li,t,ge and beautiful cave, both curious interesti'ig. On our first entrance, we descended about fifteen feet gradually to the centre of a roomn which is

the most magnificent pulpit, in thl)e Fpiscopal Church
style, that man has ever seen. It seems that it is,
