" Memorial Day in Petoskey." The executive committee and committee of historians met in joint session on June 10, 1890. Important business was transacted as follows: On motion of A. Miller, John H. Forster president of the society, and M. Shoemaker, chairman of the committee of historians were appointed a committee to prepare and present the usual appropriation bill to the legislature of 1891. On motion of A. D. P. VanBuren it was resolved-that the local matter collected by the committee up to date be published in volume seventeen of the "Collections." After the transaction of other business the committee adjourned. The balance of the work accomplished during the year will be found in the minutes of the annual meeting and in the annual reports of the officers of the society submitted at this date. MRS.
