[section of page missing] The "Poetical Chronology" was also preserved from a News-Paper. It contains the Times of certain memorable Events, during the old French War. I was glad to meet with it. And having met with it, I make it an offering to my loving little Wife. - I wish you would inform me very exactly in your next, the hour in the night or Morn- -ning when the Snow-storm began, which you have de- scribed. It began at Washington about Sun-set on Sunday the 21st and if I have been informed right, did not commence at New York untill Midnight. I request you, my love, to inquire & write me exactly when that Storm began, as it is connected with other facts tending to a Theory of the atmospheric Motions in Winter. Yours tenderly & truly Sam L Mitchill [Printed on attached paper perpendicular to letter text] ...ealth and Vermont, assures us that the attach- ...nt of all denominations of people to the Re- [pu]blican Aministration and system is rapidly [in]creasing, according to his own observation and ... universal declaration of all with whom he [co]nversed. If Republicans will be steady, firm and unit- [ed], there is little doubt that they will ultimately [pr]evail. They have the Constitution, the Gov- [er]nment and the People on their side. [Chronicle.
