Supplemental Materials (draft)

Note: Burton's alternative identification of 'misardrie' in the quot. from Sidrak (from misard, a byform of (modern English) miser assimilated to the -art, -ard suffix) depends entirely on words and spellings only attested much later; on the other hand, its identification with musardrie, accepted here, is supported by 'musardrye,' the reading in the early 16th-century manuscript Sln 2232.
