Ill the personal history of the tp., many important events are noticed and much information at once interesting and instructive givenl: Joseph Artman, farmer, sec. 15. was born in Bavaria,Germany,, Aug. 25, 1825. He came to the United States in 1857, and located at Sllheovgan, Wis., where he worked in a saw-mill for some time and lost two fingers of his left hand. He removed to Hancock, Houllgltton Co., in the Lake Superior region, and there carried on an extensive harness-making establishment for some time. IHe is at tlorough workman, having followed that trade for 32 years. In
