The churches of the township are elegant buildings. lThat
erected in 1880 west'of the village is a brick edifice, with stone facings, mullioned windows, and a generally Gothic appearance. It
forms tlhe finest building devoted to Christian worship outside the
two cities of the county.
Anothe frame building constructed in 1880, is located within tlle
village of Frankenmurth. It is well-ordered, commodious and a
telling mnonument to the zeal of tlle German settlers.
The sclhools are German almost in every feature. The elementary American courses are taught. but tlhe cultivation of the German language is the main object. Tley inay be considered
