Hon. Solomon M. Rorick was born in
New York State, Aug 2i, x830, and is a
son of Samuel and Hannah Rorick. He
came to Austin Township, Mecosta
County, Mich., in September, x865, and
was one of the pioneer settlers. He
helped organize the Township of Austin.
For 8 years he has held the office of
Township Supervisor, is a member of the
School Board, and a leading business
man of the town. Married Frances Reed,
December, 1858. Have two children, a
