Married to Laura Brade. There ýare seven ýchildten: Amanda, Maudie, Alma, Herbert, Alfred an-d Otto. FULLER, CH1ARLJES. Son of 'Daniel -and Rachel Fuller. His father is of English parentage and his mother of German parentage. The subje~ct of this sketch was born in New York state in 1848. They -came to 'Oakland County and settled in 1857, and in 1878 the family moved to Sigel Township;_Huron County; Mich., where they now reside. *There are four children: Maud, who -died. in 1879; Adelb~ert, Guy and Blanche. ' Son of John and Henrietta Kautz, natives of Germany. His father died in Germany and his mother now res-ides there.., The su~bject of this sketch was born in 'Germany in 1857. He came to this country in 1882 and settled at Port 'Hope, Mich. 'Was married in 1883 to Herimina Thrun of Sigel Town-ship. There are. two children: Elsie P., born in 1884, and Verna F., born in 1890. The -f amily adopted a -child from the Coldwater orphan-age, 'her nam-e is Clara!and she is now 8 years old. -Their h-ome 'Is -comfortable and pleasant and is known as the Orchard Lawn Farm. was born in -R~ussi-a in 1847 and came -to 'this country in 1874. Son -of Francis and Josephine Polk, natives 6f Prussia, who c~ame to Huron 'County, Mich., in 1855 and settled in Paris Township. The subject of this sketch was!born In -Canada and came with 'hi's 'parents to 'this county. In 1865 he.~ was -mharried 'to Jo~hannah Lu~tzkoski of Paris Township. There are eleven 'children: Edward, Phoebe Ann, Martha,ý Clara, Theodore, Thomas, Emma, Agnes, Gertrude., Mary and Ira. His 'father is still alive at the age of 96 -and resides at Parlsville and 'he was 'the second settle~r In Paris Township. His father was -a native of England and 'his mother of 'Ontario, Canada. His father died at the age of 80 and is buried in, Verona Township, and 'his mother lives in Bingham Township. His fathe.r and mother are both deceased and buried in 'Rock Falls 'cemetery. The subject of -this sketch was born in Sanilac County, Mich, Aug. 27, 1860. Was married to' Minnie Hodgins, daughter of Martin and Eliza (Wilson) Hodgins. There are 'six children: Jennie, Ella, Lily, Cecil, Verna and Myrtle. SHIGLEY, DANIEL. Son 'of Roland and Elizabeth Srigley natives of Canada, who settled in Sanilasa County, Mich., in 1871 and in 1886 they came to lHuron 'County. The subject of this sketch was 'born in "Hur-on 'County, Mich., in 1876 and is one of the leading and energetic young farmers of Sigel Township. He received his education 'and grew to manhood 'here and is single and his 'parents are residing wi-th him on his farm. STANTOIN, ASA. S-on -of Daniel and Amy Stanton. His -father was of 'English des~cent and his mother -of Irish descent. 'The subject -of this sketch was born in Illinois in 1854 -and -in 1889 was married to Lottie Hebn~er of 'Sige~l Township. There are three chlidren: Daniel, Carrie and Howard. They have a pleasant and comfortable home and 'the fam~ily is well known and highly respected and is one of the representative 'families of the township. STANTON, COREY. Son of Daniel and Ann Stanton. His father is of American descent and his mother is a native 'of Ireland. The subject 'of this sketch 'was born in Woodwill, Ontario, Canada, in 1860. He came to Huron County, 'Mich., in 1877. He -married Mary Jane Broomfleid in 1886. There are three -children: Annie, Clare and! Carl. They have a beautiful farm, kn~own as 'Pleasant Heights Farm'. They lost both their 'house and barn in 1903 and in the summer of 1904 they built a beautiful new brilck house and one -of the largest barns in the township. The 'family is well known and is one 'of 'the leading families of the township. STANTON, WILLIAM H. Sion -of Daniel and Ann Stanton. His 'father was 'born in Canada and his mother was born in Ireland. The subject of thisý sketch was born in Canada in 1864. He came to Huron 'County, Mich., in 1880. He was married in 1891 to Della Davidson of Alpena. There are 'four children: Elizabeth May, Mary Ann, William Roy, Arthur L. 'They have a ' comfortable and pleasant 'home and the family is well known and 'highly respeceted. STICKNEY, JAMES. Son of Amos and Sarah Stickney. His father is of Scotch parenta~ge and 'his mother of Irish parentage. The subject of this sketch was b-orn in Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada, in 1838. He was married 'in. 1865 to Sarah Culver of Norfolk County, 'Ontario. There are four children: Charles, Fred, Mabel and James. 'Fred is 'married 'to Neillie 'Rogers of Sigel Township. and they reside in 'Bi-oomfield Township. Their home is 'comfortable and pleasant ' and is known as the Cherry'Blossom Farm. The -family is highly respected and progressive. V'ARDO'N, JAMES. Son -of Sidney 'and Margaret Varden, natives of Nova Scotia, -and who cawe to Huron:County in 1880 and settled in Sand Beach 'Township. The subject of this sketch was born in Canada in 1-863 and came to this county with ant and comfortable 'home and are highly respected and progressive. WHITELEM, GEORG-E H. Son of Waterhouse W. and Diana. (Peacock) Whitel-em, natives of Yorkshire, England. His parents are both -deceased and buried in Verona ce~metery.- The subject of this 'sketch was 'born in Su~mmit -County,: Ohio, on April 22, 1856. Married Sarah Broomfield, daughter of Joseph and 'Catherine (Meo~itchen) Broomfield. 'The 'children are 'all at home and attend school. HINE, GOTTFRIED. Son of Fritz an'd Augustine Hine, natives of Germany. Wa's born in 'Germany July 22,:1846. Ca~me to this c&ountry in 1,879. Married Minnie Shelkie December, 1869.: Chil-dren are F rederick, Ralph, Gustave, Bertha.. Mr. Hine was six years assessor. HINTZ, JOHN. He was born in Germany -and wasmarried in Germany 'to 'Lydia Hartsberg. They ca.me to this country and lived in Detroit two years before they settled on 'the farm' in Bloomfield Township, where 'they now reside. There were six boys and 'three gir~ls in 'the family of children. INGRAM, WILLIAM. His father and mother were h-orn and raised in Canada and always lived there. Mr. Ingram was married, after coming to this county and all 'of the children in his family were born here and received their education here. KARG, STEVEN. 'B3orn in 'Germany Jan. 15, 1851. 'Came to Detroit in 'May 1878 and to Huron County in 1888. Married to Barbara Farver in Detroit.in 1873. Children are Amelia, Fred, 'Annie, Caleb, Emma, Holte and Johin. KINCH, EIDMUN'D. Son of John and 'Margaret Kinch, natives of Canadia. His parents 'came to Bloom'field 'Township, Huron 'Coun-ty, Mich., in 187.6. His father is 'deceased and 'buried in New River -cemetery and 'his mother is still living. The subjact of this 'sketch was born in Canada May 4,_~ 1874, and received his edu~cation in -the common. schools of Huron County. He is p-ostmaster at Rediman and was elected town treasurer in -the- spring of 1904. LUDLOW, WNM. Son of Thomas and Susan Ludlow, native~sol Canada, w'ho came 'to this country in 1878. His mother was -a native of India. took 'up a homestead, a part of which the subject of this sketch owns today. 'He was 'married. to Marie Wressell, daughter. of Ge-orge and Hannah (Richardson) Wressell, her father being a native of England and her mother of Canada. 'There are six children: James H., Edgar, Emma, Ina May, George, Jennie. McINTYRE, DUINCAN. Son -of Nichol -and Mary (M~cLaughlin) McIntyre,.~ natives of Scotland. They emigrated -to Canada from Argyleshire, Scotland, when Dun-can was a -child and settled in Brooker Town-ship, Ontario, where he grew -to manhood -on the farm. The subject of this sketch was 'born in 'Scotland on March 17, 1856. In 1880 he went to 'the B~lack Hills, South Dakota, -and worked in the gold.~ mines a~t Deadwood for 'two and 'one-half years. His father was a ' native 'of Rockbury, Scotland' and -his mother of Abeerdeen. His -father emigrated to ýCanada in 1833 and was married in Canada in 1855. Brown, who' was born in New York state, from where haQ movedf to St. 'Marys, Canada, and was there. married to Jane Pringle. In 1888 he moved wi-th 'his 'parents. to Sand Beach Township.
