[1] AES, IHi. Lincoln's endorsement appears on the back of original manuscript copy of AGO Special Orders No. 132, March 18, 1865, directing that ``Major General N. P. Banks, US Volunteers, will repair to New Orleans, and resume command of the Department of the Gulf.''
