AES, CSmH. Lincoln's endorsement appears on a petition of D. B. Childress, of New Market, Tennessee, asking to take the oath of allegiance and be pardoned. Following Lincoln's endorsement is a note in unidentified handwriting: ``Requisition in the case of Childress made out Feby 25. In the other named case, (Judge McKinney) requisition withheld till further orders---by command of the President.''
