Burrage, Company A, Thirty-sixth Massachusetts Volunteers, had been dismissed on charges of holding communication with the enemy. AGO Special Orders No. 61, February 7, 1865, ordered that he be restored to his command. He was mustered out of service on June 8, 1865.
