the State of Michigan, on the 18th day of October, 1864, between H. J. Alvord, special commissioner, and D. C. Leach, United States Indian agent, acting as commissioner on the part of the United States, and the chiefs and headmen of the Chippewas of Saginaw, Swan Creek, and Black River, in the State of Michigan, parties to the treaty of August 2, 1855, with amendments.
A letter of the Secretary of the Interior of the 12th instant and a copy of a communication of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, of the 22d ultimo, with inclosure accompanying the treaty.
