I herewith lay before the Senate, for its constitutional action thereon, a treaty made and concluded at the city of Washington on the 11th day of June, 1864, by and between Wm. P. Dole, Commissioner of Indian Affairs, and Hiram W. Farnsworth, United States Indian agent, commissioners on the part of the United States, and the chiefs and head men of the Kansas tribe of Indians.
A communication of the Secretary of the Interior of the 18th inst., with a copy of report of Commissioner of Indian Affairs of the 13th inst., accompany the treaty. ABRAHAM LINCOLN.
