Walborn, postmaster at Philadelphia, telegraphed on May 27, 1864: ``The Hon John Welsh, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Great Central fair has requested me to ask if you have received his letter in relation to attending the fair---an immediate answer will oblige the committee'' (DLC-RTL).
