[1] ALS, RPB. The date numeral ``21'' of this manuscript is not in Lincoln's handwriting. As printed by Nicolay and Hay (X,17) the date of the telegram is ``February 20.'' Since February 21 was Sunday, Nicolay and Hay may have the correct date, but no corroboration has been discovered.
