[1] Stan. V. Henkels Catalog 1373, May 19, 1925, No. 140. According to the catalog description Lincoln's endorsement is written on a letter of A. H. Gray, a Union man impressed into service by the Confederates, asking for his release from prison. No further reference has been found.
