I, Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States, having seen and considered the Additional Regulation of Trade prescribed by the Secretary of the Treasury, and numberd LVII, do hereby approve the same. ABRAHAM LINCOLN.

[1] Additional Regulations Concerning Commercial Intercourse with and in States Declared in Insurrection, January 26, 1864. Additional Regulation LVII modified the Twenty-sixth Regulation established on September 11, 1863, in so far as to annul restrictions on trade in the State of West Virginia within the Union lines, with the exception that no products could be shipped into any state in insurrection. See Lincoln's orders of January 26, supra, and May 20, infra.
