[1]   Tarbell (Appendix), p. 384. See Lincoln to Meade, September 16, supra. Meade's reply has not been located. The roster of Company K, Third Maryland Volunteers, lists Albert Jones as ``killed, September 18, 1863.'' Richard M. Abrahams is listed on the roster as dishonorably discharged at Fort Jefferson, Florida, June 12, 1864, and released from confinement July 3, 1865. Joseph S. Smith is listed as transferred to Company A, Twelfth New Jersey Volunteers, returned to duty May 20, 1865, and mustered out July 15, 1865.
