[1] ES, DNA WR RG 153, Judge Advocate General, MM 378. Lincoln's endorsement is written on the papers in the case of Captain William W. Woodbury, Second Minnesota Volunteers, dismissed for disloyal language, insubordination, drunkenness, and misapplication of company funds. In view of irregularity of proceedings of the trial, Rosecrans recommended commutation to loss of pay for three months.
