I have telegraphed Lt. Col. Lauck, at Munfordsville, to suspend the execution of Coleman and Johns, until further order from here.

[1]   ALS, RPB. Atwood G. Hobson was provost marshal for the Third District of Kentucky, and James F. Lauck was lieutenant colonel of the Thirty-third Kentucky Infantry. No further reference to the cases of Thomas E. Coleman and Charles Johns has been found.
