[1]   ALS, RPB. Ben Field, secretary of the Union State Committee of New York telegraphed on August 26, ``The Young men of this State hold a mass convention at Syracuse September third & they desire your excellency to send them the same address you send to Springfield. We think it will do great good & hope you may comply Answer'' (DLC-RTL).
