[1]   AES, DLC-RTL. Lincoln's endorsement is written on the back of a letter from William A. Darling, president of the Third Avenue Rail Road Company, New York, June 11, 1862, introducing Charles J. Bertram (Bartram), formerly of the ``Highland Guard,'' who had been wounded at Bull Run and was ``disabled from longer service in the Army.''
