Mr. Brown, named within, says a Mr. Hill2Open page of Toledo Ohio, was appointed a Major in one of the new regular regiments, & resigned, thus making a vacancy, which is not yet filled. He wishes the place, & I have no objection, believing him to be a worthy gentleman. A. LINCOLN
