[1]   AES, owned by Charles W. Olsen, Chicago, Illinois. Lincoln's endorsement is written on a letter signed by Senator Zachariah Chandler and several members of Congress, May 7, 1862, recommending appointment of Simeon J. Davenport as second lieutenant of cavalry. There is no record of his appointment.
