[1] ALS-P, ISLA; LS, RPB. McClellan replied on April 30, 9 P.M., ``It will not at all embarrass or interfere with my arrangements if you appoint Capt Chas Griffin. . . . All goes well.'' (DLC-RTL). Captain Charles Griffin of the Fifth Artillery was nominated brigadier general of Volunteers on May 1 and confirmed by the Senate on June 9, 1862.
