Great and Good Friend: I have received the letter which Your Majesty was pleased to address to me on the 22nd. of November, last, announcing the marriage of Her Highness the Most Serene Princess Dona Antonia, Your Majesty's beloved sister, with His Highness the Prince Leopold, son of His Royal Highness the Prince of Hohenzollern Sigmaringen.

I participate in the satisfaction afforded by this happy event and pray Your Majesty to accept my sincere congratulations upon the occasion,

May God have Your Majesty always in His safe and holy keeping! Your Good Friend, ABRAHAM LINCOLN.
