[1] Copy, ISLA. The letter bears Cameron's endorsement ``Let it be done.'' Both appointments were made on this date. John F. Reynolds, West Point 1841, was lieutenant colonel of the Fourteenth Infantry. William F. Barry, West Point 1838, was major in the Fifth Artillery.
