The friends of Capt. Julius Hayden, of the 2nd. Infantry in the old Regular Army, wish him to be appointed a Paymaster. I do not know him personally; but I do know some of his friends. It is said he stands well in the Army, and has been over brevetted. Please place his name where it will be remembered, and considered, when appointments of this sort are made. Yours truly
