[1] AE, DLC-RTL. Ashmun to Lincoln, April 16, 1861, requested retention of Daniel Webster's son Fletcher as surveyor of Port of Boston. Fletcher Webster became colonel of the Twelfth Massachusetts, June 26, 1861, and was killed at the second battle of Bull Run in August, 1862.
